The Challenge

The client’s existing website was heavily outdated and created significant operational bottlenecks for their team. Their biggest problem was a massive volume of time-wasting broker calls inquiring about inventory pricing.

In the competitive stocklot industry, pricing and packing lists are considered highly sensitive information; displaying them publicly would give competitors an immediate advantage, yet concealing them completely hindered incoming sales.

Furthermore, the old platform was entirely one-sided, focusing exclusively on attracting buyers while completely ignoring the crucial need to attract sellers looking to offload inventory. Stockist needed a solution that protected their sensitive data, automatically filtered out low-intent leads, and balanced both sides of their marketplace.

The Solution

We began the digital transformation by reimagining their platform and engineering a secure, dual-sided global marketplace tailored to the unique dynamics of the B2B stocklot industry. To resolve the issue of sensitive data exposure, we implemented a smart gatekeeping system. We placed all pricing data and detailed packing lists behind a secure login wall that records user preferences regarding merchandise categories during the initial sign-up process. This system automatically filters out casual "window shoppers" while seamlessly converting high-intent users into sales-qualified leads.

To support Stockist's international growth, we upgraded the platform to a localized .it.com domain structure and implemented built-in multilingual support covering English, Italian, French, and Russian. This global expansion was paired with an easy-to-manage SEO strategy designed to steadily attract organic international traffic. To fix the platform's structural imbalance, we crafted a seamless, intuitive UX that caters equally to buyers searching for stock and sellers looking to quickly liquidate their inventory, creating a truly unified B2B ecosystem.

Finally, we delivered a comprehensive brand refresh that brought a bold, dynamic aesthetic to the digital space. Drawing inspiration from Stockist’s Italian heritage, the new visual layout was designed to instantly establish authority and build a high level of trust with global institutional clients.
